Thee Oh Sees ‘Floating Coffin’ (2013)

Thee Oh Sees play a really fun brand of psychadelic garage rock and they have a mystique about them that fits their eclectic style. They might be one of the only bands I’ve ever seen that have gone through multiple name changes for the sole purpose of pissing people off. The band has been known by about 10+ monikers over the years, including Orinoka Crash Suite, OCS, Orange County Sound, The Ohsees, The Oh Sees, Thee Oh Sees, Oh Sees, and Osees. The reason as lead singer John Dwyer puts it is simple– “It seems to aggravate the press, which to me is great. I have nothing but contempt for the music press.”

Standout Songs: “I Come from the Mountain”, “Toe Cutter – Thumb Buster”
