One day you become a parent and realize that most kids songs really suck. So you do one of three things:
- Grin and bear it (85% of parents fall into this camp)
- Form your own band and turn traditional kids nursery rhymes into punk rock bangers (only the coolest parents fall into this camp)
- Ruthlessly seek out the best of kids music at every turn
I fall into the last two camps (because exposing my kids to quality music is a massive priority of mine), which led me to find GoNoodle. The best way to describe them is if Run D.M.C. or another hip hop group from the golden era of hip hop made educational songs about things like counting numbers while refusing to release anything that wasn’t a certified banger. This is a staple for my son and daughter on road trips and a great addition to your repertoire if you have kids.
