Bloodhound Gang is one of those bands that only could have really blown up in the late 90’s. I remember being in middle school and laughing my absolute ass off after hearing their hit single “The Bad Touch” on the radio. I think it was on 92.3 KSJO, which definitely had an edgier sound, but either way it’s one of those things that really only worked commercially in the late 90’s. This band is basically what happens when juvenile delinquency gets its hands on a drum machine, a six-pack of Miller High Life, and a can of Skoal– it sounds like something boys in high school freshman year would write and it’s kinda awesome from that perspective. With songs about everything from bodily fluids to obscure German pornography references (yes really), the Gang turns every track into a celebration of bad decisions with the kind of humor that makes your mom sigh heavily and leave the room with the CD in hand before throwing it in the trash.
