I’ve been rolling solo with my kids all week with my wife on a work trip and one part of our morning drop-off and evening pick-up routine has been listening to “The Poo Poo Song” by The Trees. When I say I’ve listened to this song over 50 times this week I’m not kidding– it’s literally been on repeat during every car trip to and from school. The song basically details the process of going through potty training which is very apropos considering my two year old son is going through that process right now (he’s been doing great and I’m super proud of him for it). At any rate, “The Poo Poo Song” is pretty much forever burned in my memory forever. My kids may forget it by the time we’re through this weekend but I’ll never forget the laughs and smiles from the backseat as they giggle about the word “poo poo” being in a song as we all sing along. Being a parent is the greatest thing ever and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. Long live “The Poo Poo Song”.
