For Those That Wish to Exist is basically a metal pop album. Arena-friendly and radio-ready filled with a collection of bangers that dip their toes into the heavy-heavy and melodic side of metal. Drummer Dan Searle remains the band’s anchor and secret weapon. He’s a total bad ass with his polyrhythmic fills and crushing double-kick patterns keeping even the band’s glossiest moments grounded in their metalcore roots. The band’s embrace of synth textures and melodic vocal hooks flirt with pop metal sheen but the band nails the balancing act nicely. Really solid running music when you want something simple to get you amped.
Standout Songs: “Black Lungs”, “An Ordinary Extinction”, “Animals”
