Today is election day in the United States and no matter which side of the political aisle you stand on it sounds like everyone feels like it’s the most important election in the history of human civilization. With that backdrop I’d say it’s probably in your best interest to get out there and vote and hope that your candidate wins, because if the other side is victorious this might just be the end of us all.
A great song to listen to on the way to the polls (or to play while you fill out your mail-in ballot) is undoubtedly Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless The U.S.A.”. It’s an iconic track in all it’s cheesy glory, but damn if it doesn’t make me feel patriotic every time I hear it. And at the end of today when all the votes are tallied I hope that we can all come together and agree that we’re proud to be Americans– this country has a lot of problems that everyone agrees need fixing, and my sincere hope is that whoever is our next President will do their best to fix them.
Standout Songs: “God Bless The U.S.A.”, “This Land Is Your Land”
