Bad Company ‘Bad Company’ (1974)

If you love yourself a good old fashioned English rock supergroup from the 70’s you’ve come to the right place. Bad Company was comprised of vocalist Paul Rodgers, drummer Simon Kirke (both ex-Free), guitarist Mick Ralphs (ex-Mott The Hoople), and bassist Boz Burrell (ex-King Crimson) all had come together at a unique time in their respective careers. Despite the fact they had all achieved artistic accolades for their previous bands they hadn’t obtained significant commercial success. With rock and roll exploding it only made sense to pair together and take their version of blues rock to the masses.

And that they did on their 1974 self-titled debut album. Featuring some of the band’s most recognizable songs, Bad Company went 5x platinum and eventually went down as a hard rock classic. Curiously enough it also holds the distinction of being the first album to ever be released on Led Zeppelin’s Swan Song Records in the United States.

Standout Songs: “Bad Company”, “Can’t Get Enough”, “Ready for Love”, “Seagull”
