As a parent of two young kids you get exposed to (dare I say completely deluged with) programming geared toward children, from TV shows to music to toys. And while some of it is relatively disposable and grating, there exists some really solid offerings that you can’t help but sing along to– Bluey is filled with incredible tunes and Thomas The Tank Engine also has a solid soundtrack that has managed to stick around on the playlist over the years.

Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends is in the latter group, a rare gem in the realm of children’s music programming. All of the songs on this album were actually written by Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy, which means you’re getting a pretty high level dose of hooks and pop punk sweetness wrapped into kid-friendly subject matter. Frankly this album kind of kicks ass– maybe not as good as Kindergarten Cartel (who is), but it’s damn close.

Standout Songs: “Watch Out”, “Do the Spidey”, “In The Friendly Neighborhood”
