Nothing Happens is the debut studio album from Indie Pop group Wallows, who has taken the city of Los Angeles by storm in the past few years. One of the primary reasons why? The band is comprised of B-list actors Dylan Minnette (best known for his role as Clay Jensen in the Netflix smash hit 13 Reasons Why) and Braeden Lemasters (who was a prominent child actor). Their brand of Indie Pop reminds. me a helluva lot of a combination of Phoenix, Arctic Monkeys, and Foster The People. It’d be easy to define Wallows as a novelty act considering their Hollywood bonafides but the band truly is anything but– with infectious hooks and a super clean production, this is a band that has a long road ahead and a lot to look forward to with their new album dropping next week. I’ll be listening.
