Children’s music has the unfortunate stereotype of causing severe bleeding of the ears. The soundtrack from Bluey definitely puts that stereotype to rest, showcasing an abundance of musical depth that should appeal to parents and kids alike. The first track of this album, which triumphantly parades out a variety of instruments including trumpets, guitars, violins, and saxophones expertly laid over a tight rhythm section committed to driving the beat forward, is the epitome of eclectic abundance. This soundtrack is fun, diverse, and progressive– the album’s primary composer Joff Bush absolutely hit this one out of the park.
Side note– if you are a parent reading this who is unfamiliar with Bluey put it on for your kids tonight. The 10-minute episodes make it a malleable asset to your night time routine, and the banter between Bandit, Chilli, Bluey, and Bingo will have you enthralled just as much as your kids. It is a fixture in our house, and absolutely beloved by our oldest.
HBD Cha-Cha Girl. Can’t believe you’re already 3 today.
