As probably the greatest jam band of all-time, doing a live album listen of Grateful Dead (and nearly a three-hour experience at that) is pretty much a requirement if you’re listening to a full album each day for an entire year. The band is legendary for its extended live sets and Cornell 5/8/77 is no exception with epic solos, stretched out bridge sections, and all the harmonic synchronicity you would expect from the legendary six piece. It’s probably their most renowned live album to date and a solid listen for anyone looking to experience The Dead at their creative peak.
S/O to Sahni for the rec.
Standout Songs: “They Love Each Each Other”, “Dancing in the Street”, “Brown-Eyed Women”
