Elizabeth Fraser’s vocals in particular stand out on this record, her mysterious Scottish-tinged soprano floating above dense arrangements like a ray of light cutting through fog. It’s moving, especially when her vocal harmonies are run through effects, panned hard right/left, and used as atmospheric accents.
