As far as kids albums go, Big World! Big Adventures! displays a wide array of musical depth. It covers the standard fare— ensemble casts, comedic breaks, medley arrangements, and an impressive array of wordly instruments befitting its name.
But really I’m here to talk about the vocal performance on “Free and Easy”. Peter Andre, who plays the character “Ace”, brings a swagger that’s simply delightful and clearly takes inspiration from pop legends like Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson. Add in a slick drum groove, a bass line that sprints all over the fretboard, and an absolute ripping keyboard performance and you’ve got yourself a children’s classic.
